try me

I found some want ads on city offece's news paper the other day, it says they are looking for assistant teachers and counselors for public schools.
I brought my resume two days ago to the city office to apply for one of the jobs.

I want to work related to young kid's education and think about that for a long time but I don't know I will be able to be one. Because they also say the official (teaching) license is needed when you teach in school as a general rule....

So bureaucracy.....!!

but I know there will be always exceptions, right?
I have experiences and passion. I hope they will try me.

Let's wait and see.....

Staying home

My younger daughter has got mumps since yesterday.

The doctor says she can't go to school three days or so.
She has to stay home through this weekend WITH ME... :-(

Her temperature is not so high and she can sit and eat.
Because of the vaccination she got 5 year ago, the symptoms are not so serious.

Thank god.

Homeworks

Just too hot to live...hotter than ever...
It's hard to breath warmer air than a body temperature...

They say the global warming causes all of this.
But my husband believes there will be colder after 2012.
He says some trusted scientists report we're going to get into ice age within a few decades.

I don't believe that.....

Anyway, my kids are in the mid of summer vacation now.
They have a lot of homework to do...reviews, research, Japanese calligraphy, drawing and essays.
2/3 of the vacation went past, but almost of the homework UNTOUCHED.

There are 2 types.
Some will do their homework in advance and enjoy the rest of the vacation.
Others will enjoy the vacation first and will do their homework last a few days.

My husband is the latter.
He says, a school will be closed if the earthquake hit, or a school building will burn down if the fire occurs...

Optimists...

feeling good

I feel good, really good.

I watched the World Cup this morning, Japan vs Denmark.

Yes!! We won the game!

2 beautiful FKs and a very skillful one more.

We, Japanese, I mean, Asian have some kind of inferiority complex about football.
But from now on, I don't feel that any more.

We are not so tall and big physically.
Samurai is very polite and modest, but very strong and tough.

I heard Paraguay have some star players and have played very well.

The meeting will be held on 29 Tue.
Let's wait and see...

A solar blessing

It was sunny and dry today.
On such a fine day during rainy season, there is only one thing to do!

yes! Laundries!

It is good to see line-dried laundries under sunshine.

I watched "Sonatina", the Japanese movie directed by Kitano Takeshi.
It's the one that was awarded by Venetia festa or something, wasn't it?

The movie was not so bad, but not so good neither.

His movies taste the same for me.

Rain, Rain, Go Away!

Rainy season comes in Japan.
It is humid awfully...

When I find movies which I'm interested in from TV program lists, I record them for rainy days.
So rainy day will be my movie day. ;-)

There is no law that changes the Japanese prime minister ANNUALLY.

They(former PMs) were cursed.......by who???

nothing special

I don't know exactly what makes me feel bad...
I feel meaningless these days.

I usually am a very positive-thinking person...

I can tell you some reasons, but there are no decisive ones.

My teenage daughter makes me nervous and sometimes mad " mentally".
She never listens to me and she does everything I hate.

I am thinking it'll be worrisome not having a steady job.
I am a part time tutor teaching English for kids.

I live with my father-in-law. He is a burden to care for.
He can take care of himself so far, but he can't decide anything by himself and sometimes we (my husband and me) should manage him what to do without him noticing.
He has nothing but a huge self respect.

My husband and me....kids grow, father in law, his new business...
the relationship became not so simple.

I know these things above are popular theme among middle aged women like me, right?

Maybe it is some hormone or biorhythm matters that makes me feel down.

I should go shopping to Ginza wearing nice dress. on the next fine day. :-)
It must lift me up, right?

it is snowing!

9:20 pm and it is SNOWING outside.

Kids were crazy to see rain turning into snow.
it is first snow in this winter.

My daughters hope/pray they will be able to play with snow tomorrow.
However adults hope/pray snow will melt in the morning....

Much snow make traffic messy, you know.

Avatar

I watched "Avatar", 3D version, of course.

It was a great movie which everyone can enjoy watching.

To tell the truth, it reminded me of several movies, such as
Matrix, Alien, Raputa, Nausicca, and Mononoke....

If you like Japanese Anime, you can understand the concepts of the
latter movies from Studio Ghibli.

Nature is God...
You can feel Soul and Spirits everywhere...

Becouse of the SCIENCE-fiction sotry, I thought it would be a little difficult for 10 yo girl.
but my daughter enjoyed that even though she watchet it with subtitle.

Fact is stranger than fiction

A weather forecast said it would be rainy this afternoon.
So I decided not to go out and stay home to watch movies.

I watched "Changiling" and "Alive".
Both movies are based on the true stories.

Not bad....
true stories but not so happy endings,
I thought about the life before death.

"Must" movie

Have you watched "Avatar", of course, 3D version?
I haven't yet, but my daughter did.

She was so impressed and moved by the movie and tells us that we should watch the one.

I'm going to see 3D Avatar with my younger daughter.
It is said that the 3D theater is so crowded so far that we can't get seats.
I think I had better to wait for more a week or so... do I ?

was born to be a woman

I got my breast X-rayed last Friday.
The local government had some mammography checkups for women over 40.
so, it was my first mammography and just an ordinary one.

I will get the result 4 weeks later.

I also am going to have a cervical cancer chekup.

woman......

shopping at muji

My daughter likes drawing, so she needs notebooks with no lines.

I usually buy stationery at a 100-yen shop.
You can buy goods and things for 100 yen each there .

But, I went to other shophttp://www.muji.com/ today.
Muji shop is famous for its plain design and reasonable price.

Then I bought three notebooks with no lines for 150 yen---50 yen for each---!!
I was surprised to know they were cheaper than 100 yen.

Good shopping today ;-)

ReStart

Gee...
Did I tell you my new year's resolution?
Three lines in English A DAY......

I didn't think it would be so hard to keep my blog in English.

This year, I'll do my best!

well....spending new years holiday with my kid, I couldn't go out walking--jogging,
so I got a little weight. :-(
Getting older, it become more difficult to lose weight.
I started walking in the afternoon today.
It refreshed me a lot.
